Enter the Secret Code!

You found it!

congrats! you found the secret password, how hard was it ? well, let me tell you a bit more about this EP :

this project, colorful!, was born at the beginning of 2025 in my student residence in Grenoble!

it naturally saw the light of the day, like all of my other productions, but never faded from my memory, unlike all of my other productions! the tracks weren’t conceived as the whole project, but they met in the right place at the right time!

colorful! is a drum and bass track – a genre i’ve been loving for a few years – which features a lot of tempo switches because i couldn’t tell which bpm sounded the best!...

nostalgia rush! is inspired by Jersey, a french DJ duo, but I’ve added my own layer of nostalgia, full of internet and minecraft uhc edits vibes!

rave in a forest! is more mature, more recent, and represents my entry into, and adoration for the world of techno - a melodic and colorful techno, filled with fireflies and green plants!

not so broken record! completes and concludes this project! its composition was truly special: shivers down my spine to every drum break chop, it’s a nervous calm in search of musical sense! this track represents so much for me: let me talk about my grand-mother, a former history and geography teacher, always beaming and smiling! she educated me and watched me grow up but passed away a few months ago

that 6th of June was sad, an evening of mourning… when i watched Feldup’s video, analysing The Oldest View by Kane Parsons, everything came together! i wanna live in this “Part.4”, where Julien Reverchon still lives on through memories thanks to the creation of The Oldest View, exactly as i wanna live with that “Track 4”, in which my grand-mother still lives on through my memory thanks to colorful!

oh, and you might ask why the last track is all about “meaningless” music! well, my vision for this project is surely different from yours, and the sense you will give to this EP is no less valid than mine! so if this music doesn’t have a unique meaning, does it even need one ?

thank you for listening to this project and finding this little text!

“always use tiny CIRCLES to color in your map, that’s how you get it perfect.” thank you so much for that advice, gran, but i believe that sounds are what I prefer to make colorful! <3
